Critters that scratch

If you've ever thought that what you can't see can't possible hurt you, then you're deluding yourself big time.

The truth of the matter, quite simply, is that some things that are invisible to the naked human eye can hurt you more than a little bit. Take dust mites, for instance. These tiny little things prefer to live in collections of dust, affectionately called dust bunnies, where they basically do everything from eat to lay eggs.

Why is this a problem? Well droppings from dust mites can lead to the development of allergies in some people. And it's also possible for these droppings could trigger an asthma attack.

And if you're the type of person who likes to lie down on the rug and watch the television: watch out! If the rug you're on is infested with dust mites, you could end up having to deal with itchy bumps on your skin.

Whether or not you have allergies or asthma, you don't want dust mites living in your home. Since they love to live in dust bunnies, one simple way to keep dust mites in check is to keep your living space clean. If you see a dust bunny, you must vacuum it up as quickly as possible. You've also got to ensure that your carpet is kept clean at all times.
