But this perception is actually quite wrong, because regular tap water isn't ...

Treat it with dignity

If you've ever turned on the tap in the kitchen, filled a glass with water and then looked at the water in the glass, you may have been under the impression that the water was as clear and clean and crisp as anything you've ever seen before.

But this perception is actually quite wrong, because regular tap water isn't as clean as it might seem to the naked eye.

When governments set standards for water purification, they don't necessarily mandate that all impurities be removed from the water. In many cases, they simply want the water to be safe to drink-even if there are small traces of impurities.

If this doesn't sit well with you, and it shouldn't, you should consider investing in water treatment alternatives.

Probably the simplest way to treat water is simply to boil the water, let it cool, bottle it and then store it in the fridge. But there are other ways to purify water. For instance, there are water treatment devices that you can attach to your tap so that all drinking water is treated.
